The Children and Family Center offers
counseling services
specific to children, adolescents, and their families. When a child or adolescent is exhibiting symptoms or behaviors that are out of character for them, the problem is typically best addressed by working with the individual and the family. Additionally, when parent(s) are going through difficulties of any kind, the children are likely to notice and may be affected in some way.
The Children and Family Center helps the family to work together to address and resolve these issues. Issues addressed include: anger management, ADD/ADHD, blended families, cutting/self-injury, grief, eating disorders, LGBT, communication skills, social skills, divorce, bullying, study skills, peer relationships, etc. Keep in mind that this is merely a short list of areas that our therapists are skilled in treating. The Children and Family Center offers individual, couple, and family counseling.
